When booking a swimsafer test, students will need to go thru 2 components. First component is the swimsafer online theory test. This online theory test require you to do quizzes by logging into the swimsafer quizzes to do the mulitple choice questions. There are 15 questions for each stage 1,,2,3 and there are 20 multiple choice questions for each stage 4, 5 and 6. The passing mark for theory is 80%. Is it complusory in MOE School?

Students in primary school are required to learn to swim, which is a part of the nation water safety curriculum for all children in singapore. The school will go thru a one time of 10-12 sessions of swimming lesson for all MOE school. They will be certiied under the swimsafer progra,. After the sessions are over, parents are encourage to let their child continue their weekly swimming lessons with any certified NROC Coach to continue their swimsafer program. My child has water phobia. Is he suitable for swimsafer program?

As soon as he can achieve swimsafer stage 1, very likely he has overcome or can overcome water phobia base on the swimsafer stage 1 checklist item #3 “Submerging”.

My child is 3 year old. Can I start her for the swimsafer program?

The earlier you start them, the earlier they finish. The advantage of early head start. At such a tender age, while they do not have much enrichment classes, it is good to let them finish the swimsafer syllabus in their growing up year.
