Swim Sign Up at Queenstown – 2027 Group SwimSafer Class (Pay with HitPay)

Give your child a full year of steady, confident swimming progress. AQZOG’s 2027 Group SwimSafer Class at Queenstown Swimming Complex runs every week after school, follows the national SwimSafer 2.0 syllabus from Stage 1 to Stage 6, and is taught by MOE SwimSafer and SLSS certified coaches. Sign-up and payment are done online in a few minutes, by PayNow or card through HitPay, and your child’s place is confirmed the moment payment goes through.

Why parents choose this class

  • Certified SwimSafer coaches. Lessons are led by AQZOG’s MOE SwimSafer and SLSS certified coaches, headed by Master Coach Raymond. AQZOG has been teaching swimming in Singapore since 2007 and received the SME 500 Award in 2023.
  • Small, focused groups. Each class takes a maximum of 10 swimmers, so coaches can watch every child, correct technique early and keep the lesson safe.
  • Clear stage-by-stage progress. Swimmers are grouped and coached according to their current SwimSafer stage, from first floats to Gold-level strokes and survival skills.
  • After-school timing. Weekday evening slots let children swim without giving up their weekends.
  • Flexible blocks. Pay $120 for 3 sessions at a time, with a replacement class included, instead of committing to a whole term upfront.

The SwimSafer syllabus your child will learn

SwimSafer 2.0 is Singapore’s national water safety programme. It has six stages: Stages 1, 2 and 3, followed by Bronze (Stage 4), Silver (Stage 5) and Gold (Stage 6). Each stage combines three things: swimming strokes, water survival skills, and water safety knowledge. In class, your child will work on:

  • Water confidence and safe entry – entering and exiting the pool safely, floating, gliding and breath control.
  • Strokes – front crawl, backstroke and breaststroke, building up to longer distances and the stroke standards for the higher stages.
  • Survival skills – treading water, sculling, survival strokes, and what to do if you fall into the water unexpectedly.
  • Water safety knowledge – the theory each SwimSafer test checks, so your child understands how to stay safe around pools, beaches and open water.

Coaches use mock-test style practice so swimmers know exactly what the assessor will look for. When your child is ready, we’ll let you know and guide you on booking the SwimSafer test.

How it connects to the MOE SwimSafer programme

Many Primary 3 pupils first meet SwimSafer through the MOE programme in school. School lessons cover a set number of sessions, so many children finish wanting more practice, a higher stage, or more confidence to swim on their own. Our group class follows the same national SwimSafer syllabus, so your child can continue from the stage they reached in school and keep moving up – Stage 3, then Bronze, Silver and Gold – with weekly practice and personal feedback.

Popular slots fill first

After-school weekday evenings are the times most families want, and with only 10 places per class, the most convenient slots are the first to go. The best way to secure your preferred day and time is to register early and pay online – your place is held as soon as payment is received, so there’s no waiting for a reply.

My child has no SwimSafer certificate yet. Can they join?

Yes. Beginners start at Stage 1. When you sign up, choose “No” for the certificate question and pick the stage you would like your child to train for, or “Not sure, you assess” and our coach will place them after the first lesson.

Which stage will my child be in?

Children are coached at the stage that matches their current ability. If they already hold a certificate, tell us which stage they are working on next during sign-up.

Who teaches the class?

AQZOG’s MOE SwimSafer and SLSS certified coaches, led by Master Coach Raymond.

How does payment work?

Each payment covers 3 sessions of 60 minutes for $120 per participant. Pay online by PayNow or card through HitPay. When the block is used up, sign up again for the next block in the same slot.

What if my child misses a lesson?

A replacement class is included in each block. WhatsApp us to arrange it.

What happens if the pool closes because of haze or bad weather?

Lessons follow ActiveSG pool notices and our swim advisory. If a class cannot go ahead, we will update you on WhatsApp before the lesson.

What should my child bring?

Swimsuit, goggles, a towel and a water bottle. A swim cap is recommended.
