- Front float (10 seconds) β stable face-down float. Mushroom or jellyfish position. Relaxed limbs. No movement. Assessor counts to 10.
- Swim 5m front, then roll to back β any front stroke for 5m, then initiate a roll. Roll starts from the head and shoulders, then hips follow.
