πŸ“… Program Schedule at Bukit Batok Swimming Complex

Day 1— 8 Sept 2025 (Mon) – Introduction to Lifesaving
Students will learn the fundamentals of water rescue awareness, safe rescue techniques, and the importance of personal safety in aquatic environments. They will also learn about different types of throw rescue and how to identify 4 types of victims. Beside that, they will also learn how to perform CPR and how/where to get help during the emergency. This session offer useful practical applications suitable for all ages. This course will give you an idea about what is lifesaving so that you could make an informed decision later on.

Day 2— 9 Sept 2025 (Tue) – Partial IM Swim Strokes Clinic (Butterfly, Backstroke)
A focused swim clinic dedicated to improving two key strokes – the powerful butterfly and the smooth backstroke. Participants will receive stroke analysis, drills, and correction tips to enhance efficiency and speed. Day 2 only touched purely on Butterfly and Backstroke. There will be quick tips and simple cues for you to perform the stroke easily.

Day 3—11 Sept 2025 (Thu) – SwimSafer Survival Skills Redefined
We revisit and upgrade essential SwimSafer survival skills, including treading water, basic relaxed floating, proper straddle jump techniques and underwater skills. We also provide life jacket for you to learn wearing it in the water. Not forgetting also the forward and backward somersault that you could master in just a few moment after doing some exciting drills.

AQZOG September Holiday Swim Program

1. Who can join the September Holiday Program?

Our program is open to children and adults. Kids can join the SwimSafer Holiday Program (Stages 1–6), while adults can take part in our Lifesaving & Career Pathway courses.

2. What courses are available for adults?

Adults can enroll in:
Lifesaving 1, 2 & 3 (entry-level courses- required for NROC
Butterfly and Backstroke
Survival Skills Preparation – Underwater skills and art of sculling.

3. Can parents and kids attend at the same time?

Absolutely! Many families sign up together. While kids attend SwimSafer lessons, parents can train in lifesaving skills or take part in adult swimming sessions. This serve as a family bonding time and productive time in learning skills together, instead of parent watching the children practising and wasting time waiting.

4. What career opportunities can lifesaving lead to?

Certified lifeguard at public pools, schools, or private facilities
Swim teacher / coach (with further certification)

Yes. as you can see from our swimming program, we have created specified program under Swimsafer Survival Skills to provide training for somersault and straddle jump.

7. Will I be learning how to wear life jacket in the water?

Yes, under the Swim survival Skills which is the 3rd day of the swimming program.

8. I am going for teacher skills test, is this course suitable for me?

Yes, more importantly, you learn the basic fundermental of the strokes as well as how the lesson plan is being done during the course. The coach is more than willing to share with you and you get to learn how the strokes is being taught and drills are being done to improve the skills. The isolation drills and connecting the dots method.

9. I am going for Swimsafer Stage 5-Silver, will this course be relevant for me?

The survival skills, straddle jump, wearing life jacket in the water, Underwater skill using feet first surface dive will be taught in our program. It is best you sign up for all the sessions. Its cheaper to sign up for all 3 days program.
